Tonia Page

Tonia Kay Page still lives in the same 9th Avenue house in Fairfield where she was born. She attended several public schools, including Simms Elementary School, Oley Junior High School and Huntington High School.

Page was a teacher with the Southwestern Head Start Program for 26 years before leaving to become an outreach worker for the homeless at Harmony House for 15 years. She attended Marshall University and was one of the original members of the Marshall University Black Alumni Association. She was a member of the Black Business and Professional Women’s Organization and the Huntington chapter of the NAACP and their ACTSO program. She serves on the board of directors for the Marie Redd Senior Enrichment Program.

In 2016, Page was elected as the District 5 representative to Huntington City Council. She served for four years.

Page is a member of Antioch Missionary Baptist Church and was a member of the St. Peter Claver Piece Makers quilting group. She loves to cook and feed people and, on any given Sunday, prepares food for anyone who comes to her house.
