Telly Meadows

After graduating from Huntington High School, Telly Meadows attended Wake Forest University and graduated summa cum laude with a bachelor’s degree in chemistry. He was a distinguished inductee into Phi Beta Kappa National Honor Society and was a member of the Black Student Association and particularly was proud of his involvement as a mentor to the TARGET program and the Simmons Memorial Foundation.

Dr. Meadows received his medical degree in 2002 from the Emory University School of Medicine. While in medical school, he was actively involved in providing healthcare services and education to the underserved Black communities in Atlanta and served as a mentor to students interested in health-related careers.

He completed a three-year fellowship in general cardiology and an additional two-year fellowship in interventional cardiology and the structural heart at the Cleveland Clinic. He also completed a three-year residency in Baltimore at the Osler Internal Medical Residency program at Johns Hopkins University.

Dr. Meadows currently is an interventional cardiologist with Novant Health Heart and Vascular Institute in Charlotte, North Carolina. He also is medical director of the Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory and an assistant professor of medicine at Campbell University’s Jerry Wallace School of Osteopathic Medicine.

In his spare time, he enjoys playing tennis and spending time with his family.
