Cynthia Jones

Dr. Cynthia Jones grew up in Darlington, South Carolina, and attended school there until 10^th grade when her family moved to South Florida. She attended Broward Community College and Florida A&M University (FAMU). She earned a bachelor’s degree in Biology and a master’s degree and Ph.D. in Pharmaceutical Sciences.

Before coming to Marshall University’s School of Pharmacy, she was a visiting assistant professor at FAMU.  Currently, she is the associate professor and director of Pre-Pharmacy Living Learning Community at Marshall’s School of Pharmacy.

Dr. Jones has been involved in the Huntington community since her arrival. She is the president of the Huntington Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc.; president of the Huntington Chapter of Links, Inc.; secretary of the Huntington-Cabell Branch of the NAACP; board member of Habitat for Humanity of the Tri-State; member of the A.D. Lewis Community Center Advisory Board; member of the Health Sciences and Technology Board; member of the Fairfield Recognition Commission; and member of the Fairfield Apartment Board.
