Sean Hornbuckle

Financial Advisor/WV Delegate

Sean Hornbuckle is a life-long resident of Huntington, WV.  After graduating from Huntington High School, he continued his education at Marshall University where he earned his bachelor’s degree in Sports Management and Marketing.  He went on to earn his MBA in 2010.  While in high school, Sean played football and basketball and was a National Honor Society member.  While at Marshall he was elected Student Body President and was Mr. Marshall.  He was an active member of the newly created Society of Black Scholars.  He served on the faculty of Mountwest Community College from 2011- 2013, teaching accounting and business classes.

In 2014 Sean was the youngest black male elected to the State Legislature in the House of Delegates.  He is currently serving as the Minority Chair of the Education Committee and is serving on the Small Businesses and Education and Development Committees. He has brought prosperity, opportunities, and funding to the Fairfield Community.

Sean has been coaching at the YMCA and with AAU since 2013. He serves on the Board of Directors of the Yeager Scholars, Huntington Prep, the Planning Commission for the City of Huntington and is a member of the Huntington Chapter of the NAACP.

From 2017 – 2019 he served as Co-Interim Director with Sandra Clements of the newly formed Fairfield Community Development Corporation.

He has been a Financial Advisor with Edward Jones since 2015.
