Frank Martin
Frank Martin grew up in Washington, D.C., and graduated from Anacostia High School. He came to Marshall University on a basketball scholarship and played for the Thundering Herd from 1991-94. He was inducted into Marshall’s Black Legends Hall of Fame as one of the most impactful Black athletes at Marshall University during the 20th Century.
He went on to play professional basketball in Iceland in 1994 and with the Delaware Blue Combers of the ABA League in 1995. He played for the Huntington Express semi-pro team from 1996-98.
Martin was an assistant coach at St. Joseph High School from 2005-09. For the past 20 years, he has coached several youth league basketball and football teams. He currently coaches the Huntington Prep Regional and Post-Grad league basketball and football teams.
